MiniTruth on Libya WMD's

As tasked yesterday, comrades at MiniTruth had to develop Party Line to combat vicious Bushite propaganda that evil imperialist war in Iraq led to Libya's renunciation of WMD's (very weak and regrettable step on Comrade Qaddafi's part; he will be shot.)

BBC: French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin described the deal as "a success for the entire international community". Criminal Reactionary Bush's "otherwise unwelcome consequences" phrase buried in 'full text.'

(BBC) Q: Why Libya has decided to come clean now?

(BBC) A: The key factors have been growing pressure from the West and Colonel Gaddafi's desire to take his country back into the international fold, analysts say.

Paul Reynolds of BBC: It was perhaps no coincidence that he approached Britain and the United States in March, the very moment that Saddam Hussein was being driven from power.

NY Times Editorial: To an extent that cannot be precisely measured, the fate of Saddam Hussein, who was ousted from power by the American military with British backing after endless prevaricating about Iraqi weapons programs, must have been an important consideration in Libya's decision.

Newsday: One senior administration official said that while, to his knowledge, no Libyan official explicitly noted the U.S. campaign to topple Saddam Hussein as a motivating factor, "I can't imagine that Iraq went unnoticed by the Libyan leadership." But a veteran Middle East expert, Judith Kipper of the Council on Foreign Relations, expressed doubt at that view. She said Gadhafi made a "strategic decision" at least two years ago to renounce terrorism and repair relations with the West. "It started before they [Washington and London] went to Iraq, a long time ago, so that argument simply does not hold," Kipper said.

al Ghardiyan: Mr Blair will be delighted by the Libyan move, as it becomes increasingly clear that the US- British Iraq survey group is failing to locate weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. He will be able to argue that his hardline stance on Iraq has at least forced Libya to come forward, and that he has not only used military means to bring rogue states into line.

another al Ghardiyan writer: It seems obvious to suggest that the military pressures that were applied to Iraq in the run-up to the war may have helped to focus the minds in Colonel Gadafy's tent, but this cannot be the whole explanation.

Da, comrades, here is emerging Party line: The sight of cruise missiles slamming into Saddams' gold-plated toilets, the images of Qusay and Uday getting shot up, stuffed, and displayed, and the pictures of Saddam's post-hole HOOmiliation, all these were just coincidence.

Here is best:

So Khadaffi is now our "Bud"?We are going to get chummy with this guy? Now I know I have fallen down the rabbit hole!

So what do you think that they promised him to get Khadaffi to agree to this....secret negotiations and all yo!

Apparently, just as I suspected we havent learned a damn thing!
We are this very day dealing with the consequences of creating two Frankensteins in our past and now we are simultaneously going to start creating yet another one? Have we not learned a damn thing at all?

Comrade! Is it not true that the Amerikans have subverted our once-glorious Libyan cohorts into giving up their chemical and biological weapons only so that they can purchase (ugly word) from the Amerikan stockpile?
No WMD can match the quality of that produced by the American military industrial complex, nyet? Doesn't Wolfowitz have connections with DOW? This also allows the capitalist pig-dog Amerikans to earn international credit while their dollar is so low compared to the Euro's strength, which comes from the tireless effort of Eastern-European Glorious Workers! The Amerikan scheme is to obtain oil from any other place other than the Motherland, out of fear of funding the next Oktober Revolution, and to preserve their own domestic programs. This is known as "manipulating international commodities", da? The dirty capitalists are trying to make the Workers starve so they can raise the Amerikan flag over their bodies!

A spokesman for Mr Berlusconi said the prime minister had been telephoned recently by Col Gaddafi of Libya, who said: "I will do whatever the Americans want, because I saw what happened in Iraq, and I was afraid."--Daily Telegraph, April 9, 2003

Italian leader earlier confessed to knowledge of the plot. Shower hero interrogator with rubles and new stove.

This is completely ridiculous. Any good kulak stabber knows that homocidal dictators never ever learn from violence. It is impossible for dictators to believe that might makes right.
