KGB Investigations

The following citizens of Blogistan have recently come under close scrutiny by the KGB.

10. For inflicting a categorically subversive picture in this post, Comrade Natalie will be kept under close surveillance.

9. For doubting the loyalty of the EuroSocialists, Whackingday.com will be called into the KGB offices for questioning.

8. For giving the word "Pinko" a bad name, (as well as for criticizing the WWP), commiewatch, will be hauled away in the middle of the night and kept incommunicado.

7. Female Comrade (Comradette?) Susie of Practical Penumbra, for maintenance of counter-revolutionary Blogroll, and for sucking up to InstaPlutocrat for linkage, will be object of *ahem* personal interrogation by the Commissar.

6. Tom Burka, for an unacceptably low score on the Moore-Meter, which measures a blog's poison-to-nitrous oxide ratio, for example here, will have his Party membership revoked.

5. Allah, for pre-occupation with bourgeoisie baseball, will be subject to continued surveillance, harrassment, and frequent interruption of services.

4. For repeating the patent falsehood that Saddam and Osama were cooperating, Captain Ed will be demoted to Corporal and given dishonorable discharge.

3. For ridiculing Onward Dean, McGehee of BlogoSFERICS, will be sent to the Gulag for an indefinite sentence.

2. The Kolkata Libertarian, for bringing up this Rasputin-like topic, (which no matter how often it may be stabbed and pushed into the icy Neva, will NOT die), ... for this, the Kolkata Libertarian will be shot.

1. Sophorist, for this dangerous piece of Zionist propaganda, will be shot, and his family imprisoned.

Confessions

Everyone knows game is called lapta, and was inwented in Great Patriotic Mother Soviet Union. I stil remember those wonderful games, and the beautiful song we would all stand up to sing in seventh eenink stretch.

Take me out to the lapta game
Take me out to the crowd
Buy me some borshcht and some caviar
No one knows who the players are
But we root, root, root for the home team
If they don't win they'll be shot
Because is one, two, three strikes you're really out
At the old lapta game!

Ah. Is breengink tear to my eye.

Xhorosho, Comrade. Is very good recollection.

But you make little mistake.

Under guidance of Glorious Comrade Stalin, is ONE strike and you're out, da?

Comrade Commissar, surely there is misundertanding. I only meant to bring this to the Party's attention.

Da, Commissar ... I count myself lucky for your mercy. Comrade Sophorist is the true counter-revolutionary, though. I will be glad to testify at his show trial, er, glorious public confession!

So, am I to understand I am still a comrade in good standing?

Better Red than dead, I hear. Or, I think that's what I heard.
