John McCain may have his work cut out for him

McCain Repudiates Hussein Obama Remarks - The Caucus - Politics - New York Times Blog

A conservative radio talk show host who helped introduce Senator John McCain before a rally here used Senator Barack Obama’s middle name, Hussein, three times, while disparaging him, prompting Mr. McCain to apologize and repudiate the comments afterward.

Good job, Senator.

But it seems there are a few more of your supporters who have not quite ‘gotten the word’ yet (a very short selection follows):

Is Barack Hussein Obama even on America’s Side?

The Democrats have an interesting problem on their hands. Nobody likes Hillary very much, so Obama is enjoying a string of victories. His appeal is emotional rather than substantial, but to half the population with an IQ lower than one hundred, emotion works better than facts.

9. He defecates hope, urinates dreams, perspires justice, expectorates butterfly kisses, and cries tears of racial equality.

8. While his home planet was in the throes of destruction as the result of a thermonuclear chain reaction deep within its unstable uranium core, Obama (nee Bar-El) managed to escape and make it to Earth where he is well on his way to fulfilling his destiny.

Not that I am complaining. No, no, no. These morons of the blogosphere are convinced they are helping their cause. Notwithstanding the RNC’s research to the contrary and despite John McCain’s understanding that this is not the way to go. So, please … :) … keep it up, conserva-sphere!

What’s the big deal about using his middle name, Hussien? I mean really does anyone who is going to vote for Obama give two shakes of a rat’s behind that his middle name is Hussien? On the other side, meaning those who aren’t going to vote for Obama, his name could be George Washington Jr. and it wouldn’t matter the guy is Left of Marx. Now the Somali pictures were fun. I have to confess they made me laugh out loud. I think Obama would have looked more comfortable if he had been wearing a dress.

He’s not really Left of Marx. It just seems that way to folks who are right of Attilla the Hun.

Oops, Attilla the Hussein Hun! (ed. “Attila”)

I think it is possible that the whole “Obama is a Muslim” thing might have more impact in the general election, among the mass of the electorate that don’t really pay that much attention to politics. Someone that heard from one his friends, or saw an e-mail that said Obama is a Mustlim, might not have the time or inclination to check it out, and just accept it.

The last time I got a haircut, I was having a general political discussion with my barber, who I’d call a moderate Democrat — a reliable Democratic vote in local races, but not a party loyalist in national races. When we were discussing the various presidential candidates (this was before it was down to the current 3), and he tells me that he doesn’t think the country can afford to have a Muslim president at this time. He was surprised when I pointed out that Obama isn’t a Muslim.

I know it would be awkward, but if Obama is the nominee, he may have to find a way to make it explicity clear to general voters in a way that they’ll notice, that he isn’t a Muslim. He doesn’t have to worry about people on the right that think he’s some sort of secret Muslim — they aren’t going to vote for him anyway. But having moderates/independents who believe it could hurt him.

John the marine you are so right what’s the big deal about the Somali pictures. They weren’t fabricated and he did look funny. But that’s the thing they weren’t fabricated. You should see what the Obama camp fabricated and I mean fabricated about Hillary. Ther’s a picture of Chelsea as an adult, and Hillary wearing headscarves along side Bill and Arafat. Talk about dirty. This is ciirculating the internet and Obama has not said a word about it. He seems to be oblivious to what his supporters say and do in his name. And Dodd wants things to be less divisive. Obama’s supporters are so very divisive that I know a lot of Hillary supporters who will not vote for him if he gets the nomination. They don’t like the fact that for the most part these supporters are saying nasty crude things. I am sure Obama knows about all this and chooses not to say anything because he lacks that quality that makes a person a mensch. Of course that will only help McCain who is a mensch and has the chutzpah to make a fine president. I started out as favoring John Edwards. When he dropped out I chose to vote for Hillary because she seems to be a doer and not a talker. She has a decent resume. and was ahead of her time when she developed the health care package she did When Bill was president. The country wasn’t ready for it then and still is not ready for the health care package I think is needed. Since I am afraid that Obama is going to be the nominee I will be faced with another choice. I already have made up my mind. I know what I am getting if I cast my vote for McCain. He too has a decent resume. On the other hand Obama’s resume is paper thin. His advisers leave much to be desired.. I am hoping that Hillary will be able to pull it off. If she doesn’t then I will choose the man I think is best suited for the job, and that man happens to be McCain. Incidently, this will be the first time I will be voting for a Republican for president. Maybe there are a lot of conservatives out there who are unhappy with McCain but he sure is a good person and I am sure will make a fine president.

That would certainly get plenty of attention.

Also, I’m wondering, how do you know whether or not he is circumcized? Has the Clinton campaign release nuded pictures of him from his college days or something?

Doesn’t matter. He can always shave off just a bit more!

OK maybe Left of Marx is bit much but lets face the truth Obama is very Liberal.

Attilla? Perhaps you are engaging in a little use of hyperbole yourself there Davebo. Do I really have to be crazy right to oppose a candidate’s platform that is quite a bit Left?

    John,

So don’t take my word for it. Be that way!

Stephen, not you too? Sheesh can’t a guy be a Conservative anymore? Tough blog you got here.

Gentlemen, my main thrust is that all of the Somali picture and his middle name is “Hussien” nonsense is not very persuasive either way. The only thing that has come out of it is H-Beast looks even worse.
