A Silly Hack Rules

Wait until the Balloon Juicers and the SadlyNobodies 1 get ahold of this one:

Bob Owens, fresh from his hacktacular triumphs over TNR, the AP, and other elements of the evil MSM, takes on those Commies at The Politico: Confederate Yankee: Roger Simon’s Hit-Job On Fred Thompson At The Politico

Roger Simon’s Hit-Job On Fred Thompson At The Politico

I thought I’d said all I was going to say about Roger Simon’s article in The Politico yesterday afternoon in the comments at Hot Air,2 but as more comes out about the article, I think it is worthy of a dedicated post.

You have to read it to believe it, replete with Owens’ phone calls and emails to the Politico, about their perfectly cromulent story, all filled with his silly demands for retractions, corrections, and replies. At this moment, he has already written three posts on the all-important “HatGate” scandal.

For what it’s worth, I’d say Fred’s “silly hat rule” is out the window.

  1. to whom I am sending a trackback, so they will be sure not to miss Bob Owens’ latest []
  2. the Hot Air thread is worth a read, mainly as the Fredheads light into Michelle Malkin, Bryan, and Allahpundit, for ‘crimes against real conservatism’ or something []

Did the blogoshpere ever buy him a new barbecue? That was a tale of woe that touched my godless heart.

Since I’ve recently added “Sadly No” to “Balloon Juice” as one of my regular blog stops, I find myself (once again) just another piece of flotsam in a demographic flood: a radicalized conservative in inexorable drift to the Dark Side of “progressivism.”

Time was I regularly visited AofS HQ and CQ, but now only for comic relief. Honestly, I marvel at the change Bush & Cheney have wrought in me. When you find yourself cheering Ted Kennedy, Chuck Schumer and Patrick Leahy as they eviscerate Gonzo, it’s clear the political landscape had changed big time.
