Interesting point that President Cheney makes. Let’s assume he is correct.

I wonder … could we have done anything different, so that we would not be in a situation where “if we withdraw from Iraq, that will invite further attacks?” It’s a tough one. I mean, since we have always been in Iraq, and all. The Pilgrims, as we know, landed at Abu Ghraib, and tortured the natives until they provided them with roast turkeys and jellied cranberry sauce that slides out of the can with the little ridges still intact. Iraq … that’s where George Washington and the Redcoats defeated Lafayette and the French surrender monkeys, right?

So, since we’ve always been in Iraq, and there’s nothing we could have done differently, and al Qaeda will blow us all up if we leave, I guess we’ll have to stay there forever. That President Cheney, he’s a smart guy.
