I think hiring Paris Hilton as a spokesperson would be a step up in credibility for the White House. And a big step down for her. She’s a bimbo, but she’s a harmless bimbo when she isn’t drunk behind the wheel.

Just for the record, I have nothing against Dana Perino, Tony Snow, Fred Fielding, and other paid professionals who have to do the best they can in the situation their client puts them in.

Maybe I should strike “intelligent,” for “credible.”

As far as I’m concerned, these people have chosen the job they do, and have to bear the moral burdens that come along with peddling the lies of their masters.

That applies to pretty much anyone working in the political arena.

While I’m not nearly as critical of the administration (except on one or three points) as Canuck and Dreggas, I agree with what they’re saying here. This job has always drawn people who are willing to say things that just aren’t true, for money and prestige. It’s not an honorable position, and I wouldn’t trust anyone who occupied it (for any recent president).

Heh you should have seen me during the Clinton years. Seriously one thing that I think the past 6 years has done that really has poisoned everything is the idea that if you’re a critic, you’re a partisan.

Granted I am more likely to vote dem, especially given the fact they tend to be more secular in office. However I would even consider voting Republican if I could find one worthy of the name anymore.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program of flaying the current administration.
