We are rather close. <a href="http://cdrsalamander.blogspot.com/2006/11/pre-election-prognostication.html" rel="nofollow">here</a> are mine.
_____

    Senate: 50 (R), 50 (D)

    House: 212 (R), 223 (D)

That is what I came up with this weekend. Now, most of you have heard of the "Republican surge" over the last few days. I'm not sold on it. However, it has happened in the past, and the Democrats have not provided anything positive - so if the surge is there - here is what you will see.

    Senate: 51 (R), 49 (D)

    House: 216 (R), 219 (D)

Call it a ripple. I may be giving the Rep. too much credit in the House on both accounts - but there it is.

Kinda strange: Fox News' own polling shows the Dems solidly ahead. The New Republic's blog is aghast because the Dems are sliding.

I'm just glad I'll be taking my kid to soccer practice tomorrow evening, and won't see any TV coverage until the actual returns start coming in. I wince to think of all the exit poll pr0n that's gonna be unleashed tomorrow.

I'll go with Electionprojection.com's predictions, which have been pretty solid in the past. GOP Senate, narrow Dem majority in the House. F.B. at Southern Appeal thinks that there may be some Dem->Rep. defections in the House if the Democrats actually win, but I don't know what he's basing that on.

Looks like EP.com has revised to a 49-49 Senate, which would mean weak Dem control, based on Lieberman's willingness to caucus with them. Won't that be fun? :)

I tend to side with Salamander here.

I don't think the Democrats have in actuality a firm hope of winning Missouri

Let me correct myself slightly, in my District I can't see McCaskill beating out Jim Talent, and I can't see Roy Blunt losing period.

Prediction:
There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth and rending of clothing. Each side will cry "foul" and "cheater".

Well I was partly right
Roy Blunt won with a huge majority (over 60%)
But McCaskill squeezed a win with barely more than a 2% lead.

Should ironic here in Missouri. A Democratic Senator and a Republican state (Dems only gained like 2 district's here.)

Gridlock anyone?
