Given that creationists are making an argument linking Darwin to Hitler (”To put it simply, no Darwin, no Hitler”), it might be useful to look at Hitler’s views on evolution. Let’s contrast Hitler’s statements with those of others familiar to people well known in evolution/creationist circles:

I’m going to give away the punchline here. Hitler’s views closely match Creationism, not evolution.

Hitler was a creationist. Look at quotes Five, Eight, and Ten. Hitler’s understanding of evolution is that species are of defined “kinds”, and that changes in the species can only be in “various degrees of structural strength and active power, in the intelligence, efficiency, endurance, etc.” This is not only nothing like Darwin’s theory, it is precisely the creationists’ view of evolution. It’s simply “microevolution exists, macroevolution doesn’t.” The idea of “kinds” is completely at odds with Darwin’s work. It’s called The Origin of the Species for a reason.

For the record, Hitler didn’t kill the Jews because he was a creationist/overtly religious, he did it because he was fucking Hitler. But still:
