Middle Saranac Lake

Past the end of Lower Saranac Lake, up the Saranac River, and through the small lock, lies Middle Saranac Lake, inaccessible by automobile, only by boat or by a mile hike from the highway. A few miles wide, Middle Saranac’s main attraction is a ribbon of sandy beach at its east end. What’s more an extremely gradual slope of the ground makes it a delightful, family-safe spot to splash around in. No worries about the boat either; just motor right up onto the beach and shut it off.
