Who would blame a footballer’s wife (or girlfriend) for living off her husband’s cash?

Cheryl Tweedy, that’s who.

The Girls Aloud star, who’s engaged to England and Arsenal player Ashley Cole, has accused the other Wags (Wives And Girlfriends) of relying on their men’s bank balance without having a job of their own.

She told OK! magazine: “I was in Girls Aloud before I met Ashley and have my own successful career.

“I’m not going to quit the band and sit around in the sun all day or go shopping with Ashley’s plastic.

“I would die of embarrassment if I had to resort to taking my boyfriend’s cards.”

Cheryl also had a few things to say about Wag fashion.
