Hot Air » The Jesus cartoons

World Net Daily broke the news yesterday that a far-left student newspaper at the University of Oregon — called “The Insurgent” appropriately enough — decided to publish 12 deliberately offensive cartoons of Jesus in their March issue. Why? Because the Oregon Commentator, a conservative student newspaper at U of O, recently published the 12 Jyllands-Posten cartoons of Mohammed. The Insurgent wanted Christians to know what it felt like to have their religion insulted.

Because, really, what would Christians know about something like that?

Depends on your religious outlook I reckon.

Catholics reportedly are boycotting the DaVinci Code movie. And every Southern/Southern Baptist Preacher is painted to look like a fire breathing harbringer of hellfire brimstone and damnation. How many people scream about Jehovah Witness at their door? Or have bragged about slamming a door or pulling a prank on them? Mormons?

All depends on your point of view.

    Intresting idea either way

Hey, Bloodspite. How are ya killer?

You know, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses get what they deserve. After all they’re dumb enough to knock on my door. When I come to their house and disturb the tranquility of their home, then it will be their turn to slam a door or… perhaps brandish a weapon.

I agree, they get what they deserve. I just enjoy stirring the pot by playing devils advocate once in a while :)

I once told JW’s that I had trained my dog to eat them.
