And so in the end the immature, inexperienced plagiarist turns out to be an ingrate as well. His ill-tempered defense at RedState.org included a passage blaming his critics for his plagiarism and calling a racial icon. They went back to things I wrote when I was a teenager, he boo-hoo-hoo-ed.He is 24! Of course they went back 5 years to when he was a teenager.

Human Events online quoted Ben Domenech as saying, “While I appreciated the opportunity to go and join the Washington Post, if they didn’t expect the leftists were going to come after me with their sharpened knives, then they were fools.”

Surber calls it like it is. (Domenech has since apologized, in a way that even Don should find satisfactory, but the matter of an apology is secondary to Surber’s main point.) An excellent read.

    Personally, I find this whole situation - who the offending party is, how bad the offense was, how people are bending over backwards to spin it in various ways, etc - fascinating, depressing and amusing, all at the same time.
