Danes to Host Inter-religious Dialogue Conference

Denmark will host a conference next month to promote inter-religious dialogue in the aftermath of the cartoon crisis that put the Islamic world on edge for ridiculing the Prophet Mohammed, causing a stir between West and Muslim countries.

Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moeller said he will support the United Nations initiative to end to prejudices between Islam and the West through the Islamic Festival, to be organized in capital Copenhagen. The ministry reported the conference will be held on March 10.

Germany punishes businessman for printing Koran toilet paper

Germany slapped a 61 year old businessman with a one-year jail sentence, five year suspension and 300 hours of community service for printing sheets of toilet paper bearing the word “Koran”, shortly after the London bombings of July 2005.

Manfred van H. printed out sheets of toilet paper bearing the word “Koran” shortly after a group of Muslims carried out a series of bomb attacks in London in July 2005. He sent the paper to German television stations, magazines and some 15 mosques.

Prosecutors said that in an accompanying letter Manfred van H. called Islam’s holy book a “cookbook for terrorists”.

He also offered his toilet paper for sale on the Internet at a price of 4 euros ($4.76) per roll, saying the proceeds would go toward a “memorial to all the victims of Islamic terrorism”.

I guess “on edge” in this sense means burning embassies, flags, businesses and people… Over 50 people have DIED due to the Islamic world being put “on edge”.

Hey, can I get a role of that toilet paper? That way when I go to head to give birth to a moslem I can wipe its face with the Koran. (I know: mean, insensitive, biased, hateful, blah, blah blah….)

Would it be OK to have a toilet paper with a picture of jesus?

Those peeved the most with these issue seem to be the ones who are ok with Koran-on-toilet-paper but will not accept jesus-on-toilet paper. If you can’t accept the latter, you shouldn’t accept the former.

Sure, sell all the Jesus toilet paper you want. I just don’t think there will be much of a market, Arabs aren’t big on hygiene. Besides there is no shortage of disrespect in the middle east for Christianity. Which is no big deal because Jesus is a lot bigger than that. We don’t burn villages and cut off heads because someone draws a picture or, say, puts the savior’s likeness or name for that matter on tp. Thats the difference, Niket. Even a rotten ******* Marine knows better than that.

Food for thought: You remeber the “piss Christ” flab that took place in the Brooklyn Public Museum? (I know you do, it has been brought up here before) Christians were angry and outraged. But did they freak out like the ragheads? Did the government of a free country put that artist in jail? No, and No, Niket. So, why put this German in jail? Did he do anything worse than the artist who created the piss Christ?
