I am offended

By this desecration of the Cross

burn_nor2.jpg

This is an image of the Cross these people are burning. I am a Christian and my wife’s family is Norwegian. I am deeply offended and insulted. This is gross disrespect to my religion. And because it is my religion, everyone, everywhere has to respect any image that I declare “respectful.”

Norwegian PM Jens Stoltenberg said images of the Norwegian flag being burnt and the embassy in flames were also an insult to them.”I know there are lot of Muslims in Norway who also condemn it. Norwegian Muslims are also Norwegians and it is their flag and their embassy, and it is their flag and their embassy being burnt.”

But I assure you, I will not be torching the Syrian or Lebanese embassies tomorrow.

    The Commisar Is Offended…

… because it is his religion, every one, every where regardless of their beliefs, should have to respect any image that he declares sacred and worthy of respect.

    Follow the flags…

JT at Wizbang has an interesting thought about the cartoon riots. WELL, BOY HOWDY! Leave it to Everybody’s Favorite Commie to find the one circumstance in which American Liberals will tolerate cross-burning……….

    Knights of the White Cross…

The Commissar thought he was being ironic. Did you know that the white cross on a red field is a symbol of particular import for the Crusades? This flag which has become the symbol of freedom of speech and conscience is not just the flag of Denmark. …..

Fun and games with Professor LLamabutcher…

This morning in Legal Theory and Public Policy, we were doing Lon Fuller’s The Morality of Law, and to illuminate Fuller’s distinction between morality of duty and morality of aspiration I used a series of Johnny Cash lyrics, which somehow……

    A Perfect Response…

The Commissar offers the best comeback I’ve seen to the terroristic and hypocritical reaction of Isalmic extremists to cartoons they feel are an insult to Mohammed. He posts a photo of a burning Norwegian flag and offers the following response:…

    Why not?

Let’s assume you won’t get arrested.

What makes you think you owe the Syrians and Lebanese a standard of conduct that is higher than their own?

Ok its liek this base don the relaity and since i have studdied over 10,000 yrs of history its a fact.. same with christianity theyw ere all bsed from the book of the seeres or so called Vala The Prophet back around or before 6700bc so when you relaise this and aswel in 2001 they verified odin was aking in the Azov sea area of Ukraine, its just as stupid as saying 2000 yrs form now after a world war somone finds the book from Stephen Kings IT and sayign thats real and is fact and stephen king = god its all fake and well known i think and i know even by talking to muslums form india they know the facts but because of ther enation they control eveyrhting and will not alow them to go back to there old ways i say time to wake up to everyone look at who really wrote themna and compaire the dates just liek Nostrodahmus he didnot write anythign all he did was translate the prohecies writen back 6,000 yrs before from the old language, her eis another example,Hebrues before thye were christian beleaved in the old irminsul Religion what is compaired to ainchent greek and hten 1 day poof they chnaged it form 12 gods to 12 aposcle and so on,, this si why war is going o in the world and the real gods or god wil not help because people have lost there roots and forgot the real name but there is a world wide movement going on and has been for years millions around the world are converting back tot he old ways what are based on factsure the bible is real, and whats said in it is real, but compaire that to the angloaxon chronical that was recording history for 1100yrs and compaire to the bible you see many problems with it as well, so i say time to wake up before 2010 or the world is screwed with War, also another thing these people are made because of cartoons but what about hwo they trat other religions aswel? they do the same thing i serche don google images and you wills ee for over 10 yrs they ben doing the same thing

You bring the Bible for us to display. I’ll bring the Zippo lighter.

    Commissar:

LOL! Dang, I’d be there for sure with Bible in hand, but it happens that I’m heading to Texas tomorrow on business. Dang! Maybe some other time.

But, I was actually asking a serious question. I’d like to know why you think that your standards of civilized conduct are superior to those of Syrian Muslims, for example. After all, their civilization is far older than ours. What makes you think that you have a better concept of when it is appropriate to resort to violence? What is ‘righteous’ about your belief that it is wrong to burn the Lebanese emabassy?

BTW, I doubt you are a smoker. So when we burn the Lebanese embassy, you can count on me for a Zippo just in case you forget.

Have you got an extra gas can? Cuz, I need mine for the lawn mower.

Something which just struck me is that representations of Allah and the prophets are forbidden to Muslims lest they resort to idolatry. It shouldn’t matter one bit to them–on purely religious grounds–if a non-believer produces drawings of them. After all, niether I, Stephen, or Michael the Thumper are using such drawings to fall into Muslim heresy.

If this was obvious to many, I apologize for my tardy insight.

Dude, spend some time learning the past 50 years of English & Grammar. And maybe 30 seconds correcting spacing & typos in your rambling diatribe.

Or, expect to be ignored; your call. But someone who has “studdied to tell me what its liek base don the relaity”, I’m generally less than impressed by the depth of his/her knowledge and studious nature; or in other words…

so when you relaise this aswel and look at who really wrote themna and compaire there grammar you wills ee,, this si why nobody is sure you’ve studdied.
