My 12 year-old daughter’s soccer team had its last Saturday practice of the season today. That’s her in the front row, in the dark blue ‘New Rochelle’ jersey. Click for jumbo-sized awesomeness.

Cute kid. You must be a very proud “coach.”

Wasn’t New Rochelle the home of Rob and Laura on the “Dick Van Dyke Show”?

Kewl, thats nice Stephen. Do you ever run into idiot coaches on the other teams?

Yes, the Petries lived on Bonnie Briar Lane.

The coaches are fine. We’re not playing in the “A” level, where the competion is a litte crazier.

    All,

Thanks for the comments, guys. We played our last game the next day (Sunday 11/20), a very exciting 1-1 draw, highlighted by my daughter (the goalie) stopping a penalty kick in the waning minutes of the game.

We finished the season with 6 losses and 4 draws. We were competitive in all but a couple blow-outs, and the girls never gave up. It was great.

The Komsomol daughter is beautiful AND obviously talented! You’d better keep her under sharp surveillance, Commissar!
