Intelligent Designation
Supreme Court justices do not evolve, nor grow, nor leave behind any hard evidence of their development over time.
No, they just poof themselves onto the bench, put there by an Intelligent Designator, an all-wise, omniscient creator. Now some have characterized the Intelligent Designator specifically as an omnipotent, paternalistic, OT God-like deity, whose angels follow him faithfully, but who knows? Many refuse to speculate on the identity of the Intelligent Designator. Perhaps the Intelligent Designator is an alien.
Let’s look at the evidence, as a case study, the current nominee Harriet Miers, an outstanding example of Intelligent Designation. How would one explain the gaps in her record? Where is the seamless transition from summa cum laude Harvard Law School graduate, to Associate at a major law firm, to clerk for a Supreme Court justice, to a Constitutional law practice, to Federal district court judge, to Federal appeals court judge? If the evil ‘qualificationists’ were correct, we would expect to see such a transition. But we don’t. Only an Intelligent Designator can be responsible for this Supreme Court justice.
Isn’t this nominee “irreducibly simple?” Again look at the evidence, or lack of it. She has been the president’s personal attorney for many years, with little other complexity, depth, or experience that a ‘qualificationist’ would expect. On the simple, single virtue of loyalty, she has been nominated to the Supreme Court, a stunning, powerful demonstration of the case for “irreducible simplicity.”
Next, I point to “simple unspecified information.” She had no paper trail. No one knows where she stands on anything, except (of course) for the Intelligent Designator. Such an example of “simple unspecified information” cannot arise by accident, just by survival of the smartest. No. There is virtually no information about her, wholly shredding the notion that only the smartest, with complex paper trails and so-called judicial experience can aspire to the highest court in the land. Otherwise, if the godless, disloyal, ‘qualificationists’ were right, we would expect to see a Supreme Court filled with intellectual powerhouses.
