Almost a RINO Litmus Test
Beating the ACLU, Delinking Instapundit
Khorosho, comrades, nothing takes one’s mind off tragedies of epic proportions - here and abroad - like a genuine, multi-blog, internecine blog kerfuffle.
Briefly, Stop-the-ACLU blog publicly de-linked Instapundit (always a good way to start a blogfight). Instapundit responded by linking to his de-linker (a type of blog-jujitsu reserved for A-List blogs). Inevitably, numerous bloggers, like muddy water from Lake Ponchartrain, poured through this breach in the Puppy Blender’s defenses, and joined in the de-linkfest.
And with Newtonian certainty (of course the Third Law is “just a theory,” but what the hell), numerous other bloggers joined in to denounce (and perhaps delink?) the delinkers. Including INDC Journal and Andy at WWR.
So where is the near-litmus test? I confess as I scanned the list of bloggers who were publicly delinking Professor Reynolds for is crimes, I caught my breath and didn’t exhale until my second, slower scan confirmed that no RINOs had joined in. “Whew, I hate confrontations.” To be clear (or perhaps hopelessly fence-straddling) I count a number of the IP-delinkers as friends and wouldn’t impose any such litmus test on the RINOs.
But if any blogger delinks the delinkers, I will have to delink that blogger, just to see how far we can take this.
